Mąż i Żona (Husband & Wife)

This was one of my very first posters.
I learned about a graphic design competition to commemorate Andrzej Pągowski's jubilee of creative labor as a famous and great Polish graphic designer.
The assignment was to redesign the theater poster for the play "Husband and Wife" written by A. Fredro. I watched A. Fredro's theatrical adaptation of "Husband and Wife" to see what's going on in this story...It irritated me. In this drama, people cheated on each other. Everyone. There was a lot of lying, betrayal, and deception among family and friends. I started to think how to illustrate betrayal and lies in marriage...

That's what I've made....

If you look closely, you will notice how poorly executed this poster is.
First and foremost, I chose the incorrect font.
Second, the curves are jiggly...
Even colors that should be the same are different...
Wife is lighter than husband.... (Perhaps it was my unconscious act....;)

Anyway. Regardless of how poorly it was executed, this design will always hold a special place in my heart and thoughts.
The committee chose my poster for the final selection.
My poster didn't won anything, but I won my personal courage to making visual staff!

Thanks to this poster, I thought I could do graphic design.

I knew I liked it, but I didn't realize I could do it...

Made in 2016.
